Vosper MTB1028 viewsMTBs make nice models; spectacular and aggressive-looking, with a good performance. This one came to me half built, and quite competently done. It is based on the Deans Marine Vosper MTB 385. Now Deans use single-shaft machinery to reduce current drain and get a decent running time, relying on lightweight construction to get a good performance. But the original boats had three shafts. Battery technology has moved on a lot since this model was designed. I intend to complete her with three shafts, and see what sort of performance she offers. When I’ve had my fun building and playing with her, she will come up for sale. She will be ready in 2008, tested, reliable, fully refurbished, complete with transmitter, just add water and go. If you wish to reserve her, get in touch now.

Gunter_Sloop.jpg
Gunter Sloop960 viewsThis one is going to be a really sweet little gunter-rigged sloop; a model of the sort of small cruising yacht, just a step up from a dayboat, that was around when I was a young man. With a bit of ingenuity, I should be able to get main, jib and lifting centreplate all to work off simple two-channel radio gear. Working this out is why I am building her. She will offer a really nice entry into scale sailing; light, small, easy to carry, but with a good performance on the water. She will be ready in 2008, tested, reliable, fully refurbished, complete with transmitter, just add water and go. If you wish to reserve her, get in touch now.

Graph_graphic.jpg
HMS Graph1000 viewsHMS Graph began life as U-570. She was captured by the RN, taken into service, used for research, and carried out a few operational patrols, during which she carried out an attack on a sister ship, U-333.
The model came to me as a Robbe U-47, in reasonable condition. There was some light damage to the hydroplanes, and the decks were a bit scruffy, but the mechanism was really well built, which is important, as a submarine is one type of model you really do not want to suffer from mechanical or electrical failure. Over the months, I have tidied it up, and made a few improvements. For instance, Robbe’s original current-guzzling motors, which restrict the model in standard trim to a very short running time, have been replaced with low-drain units.
I have also been researching Graph’s appearance. The model will be fitted with a conning tower from Dreamworks, and other details will be altered to conform to Graph. She will be ready in 2008, tested, reliable, fully refurbished, complete with transmitter, just add water and go. If you wish to reserve her, get in touch now.
